Water and waste are the utilities most likely to be paid on autopilot. They are smaller than power, they arrive from the council rather than a supplier you chose, and there is a widespread assumption that nothing about them is negotiable. For high-usage sites, that assumption is expensive.
Where the money usually is
Rarely in the rate. Almost always in what is being measured and how it is classified. Sites get billed on trade waste assumptions that stopped matching the operation years ago. Leaks run for months behind a wall because nobody benchmarks consumption against comparable sites. Waste is collected on a schedule set when the business was a different size, so half the lifts are for half-empty bins.
None of that shows up as a shocking number on a single bill. It shows up as a slightly-too-high figure, twelve times a year, for years.
What a review looks like
We benchmark what your sites use against what comparable operations use, read how your trade waste is actually classified, and look at whether your collection arrangements still fit the volume you genuinely produce. Where diversion — recycling, organics — would cut both the bill and the disposal volume, we say so.
It is unglamorous work. It is also the review most often skipped, which is exactly why it tends to find something.

Not to get started — a first estimate takes under two minutes and needs no bill. When you want a full written proposal we do ask for a recent bill, because a proposal has to be built on your real charges rather than on a rounded number you remembered.
Yes. We review your plans as the market moves rather than switching you once and leaving you on a rate that quietly ages. A rate that was sharp two years ago usually is not sharp today, and the whole point of having a broker is that somebody is watching that for you.
